Bacon Burger

Ingredients

1 lb Grass Fed Ground Beef

4 slices Cooked Nitrate Free Bacon (reserve cooking fat for mushrooms)

4 ozs Cremini Mushrooms (sliced)

1 tsp Dijon Mustard

1 tsp Dried Rosemary (Fresh is always the best choice!)

1/4 tsp Chili Powder

1/2 tsp Garlic (minced)

1/4 tsp Sea Salt

1/8 tsp Paprika

1 head Romaine Lettuce (butter lettuce works well too)

Directions

  1. Preheat the grill. You can cook them on the stovetop as well, if you do, preheat the skillet and add 1 T of cooking fat of choice.

  2. Combine the beef, bacon, mustard, chili powder, paprika, and sea salt in a bowl and form 4 patties about 1 inch thick.

  3. Grill the burgers to your liking.

  4. For the mushrooms, heat the reserved bacon fat in a skillet over medium heat.

  5. Add the mushrooms, rosemary, garlic, and sea salt. Saute until tender, approx, 15 minutes.

  6. Either wrap your bacon burger and mushrooms in a lettuce leaf, eat over greens, or eat alone. Enjoy!
